A mega drama ‘Maharathi Karna’ based on the life of Karna was staged on Thursday evening at the third edition of cultural festival ‘Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav’ held at ground of Ishwar Deshmukh Physical Education College at Krida Chowk, Hanuman Nagar.
The play showcased the life journey of Maharathi Karna and how he overcome from all the difficulties and became one of the best warriors the history has ever witnessed.
The character of Karna portrayed by Nikhil Tongle and Sarang Gupta in mega drama showcased the life journey of Karna scene by scene which made all the Nagpurian’s understand how all his life, Karna was ridiculed, shamed and humiliated and yet chose to fight through all the difficulties and become a great warrior.
The mega show of ‘Maharathi Karna’ was conceptualised, produced and directed by stage artist Deepali Ghonge and written by Dr Nandita Sahu, Shantanoo Soni (Duryodhan), Gaurav Raut (Shakuni), JayGala(Kripacharya), Madhura Samak (Mala), Rashmi Badge (Kunti), Mayuri Tongle (Vrushali), Kalyani Gokhale (Radha Maa), Anmol Nicchat (Krishna), Nupur Badge (Draupadi), Shubham Sapre (Parshuram), Sushil Tiwari (Bhishma), Vyankatesh Ayachit (Arjun).
