A mission to promote health and fitness third edition of Katol Marathon will be organised on January 12.As per information, the race will start from Katol Orange Plaza, Ambedkar chowk, Galpura square, Bypass Katol road, Mahesh Bhavan, Railway station and will end at Orange Plaza Katol.
The Marathon will have three categories including 10km power run for above 11 years, five kilometre orange city run for above five years and 3 kilometre family run.
As per information, Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh and former MLA Ashish Deshmukh will flag off the races.Nitin Fuke, who completed Duathlon Olympic distance race will be the brand ambassador this year. Registrations have begun and those who are interested in it can register online at www.townscript.com/e/katol-marathon-424025 and offline at various registration centres. The spot registration can be done on Saturday at Datta Krushi Sewa Kendra, Orange Plaza, opposite Reliance petrol pump, Katol.
Every runner will get a BIB No and T-shirt, a medal, refreshment and completion certificate after the race. All finishers will get a medal, certificate and refreshment. And prizes worth Rs.51000 in different categories would be distributed.
