The incomplete Sadar flyover was breached by few vandals on January 2.In this illegal activity the thugs removed all the warning sign boards making it open for the passing by vehicles.
The thugs claimed to have connections with congress party while they removed the barricades, which have been put to restrict vehicular movement on the bridge.
It was already said that the bridge is ready to be inaugurated and even was tested by driving trucks on it, but there are still few structural works left which can cause extreme dangers if neglected. It is also being said that if the bridge is put in use at this stage, the commuters on and below the bridge will have a great threat whilst driving.
The said vandals have been arrested by the police authorities and have also been put in the interrogation process.
According to Naresh Wadettiwar, General Manager, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) the bridge is still under the construction process which will be done in next 6-7 days after which it will be open for the use of citizens.
It was also seen that these thugs were encouraging other vehicles to get on the track of the bridge, to which few drivers even responded and almost got on the track. These drivers were stopped by the police, when they arrived the location right in time.
When the Congress Party Chief and MLA Vikas Thakre was asked about the arrested persons, he totally denied identifying them as any of the workers of congress party.
