The festival of Makar Sankranti was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lalitha Public School on 14th January 2020.
The program began with the recitation of a shloka by Pre- Primary students. The significance of the four days, Bhogi, Makara Sankranti, Kanuma, and Mukkanuma explained by the teachers. On this day Sun enters the Makar sign thus it is known as Makar Sankranti. From this day onwards the duration of the day – time increases slowly. After the importance of Makar Sankranti children shared Til Gud (Sweet) among themselves.
The festival reached a crescendo as the students of Chetna Kids Paradise – (Pre- Primary) came together for Kite flying fest on the school ground.
On the basic theme – “Health Is Wealth”, a huge Kite made by the students under the guidance teachers.
It gave the message to our society that -Good Health has Significance to human happiness and well-being. It also makes an important contribution to economic progress.
The school Director Mrs. Chetna Tank, Principal Mrs Manjiri Joshi and teachers participated in kite flying with children and they enjoyed very much. Also, they blessed and greeted Happy Makar Sankranti to everyone.
