In a bid to impart a political wisdom among students and to provide a platform for elaborate discussion of social issues the Raisoni Group of Institutions organized ‘National Student’s Parliament- 2020’ on January 17 at GHRCE Campus, Nagpur.
On this occasion NSP-2020 souvenir was released at the hands of the chief guest Jaya Prada, Bollywood Actress & Former MP and other dignitaries Manish Awasthi, Editor, India News and Sunil Raisoni, Chairman, RGI, present on the dias. Sunil Raisoni, Chairman RGI spoke on the importance and benefit of organizing NSP during his welcome speech and congratulated NSP team at the inaugural function. Manish Awasthi discussed the need of instilling facts of current issues and understanding its both sides.

She further highlighted her views that “Student must commit and develop themselves towards the up-liftment of the society which will be helpful in the development of the nation.
Anila Singh, Social Worker, Shehzad Poonawala, BJP spoke person, Farheen, (Activist) and Islamic Scholar Muhhamud Azumuddin were the speakers during the first session of the event. They discussed on the topic “Triple Talak- Saza ya Azadiâ€.
The session was moderated by Dinesh Gautam, Journalist. Shehzad Poonawala in his speech stated triple talaq bill as liberation to Muslim women. He also pointed out that Muslim issues are only discussed since ages only for vote banks but no one tried to resolve it. “When court ordered government then this decision has been taken with the collective will of the government. Those who called themselves secular never talked about Muslim women issues and acts as an extremistâ€, he further stressed.
“Our country was always on the principles of Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule and Raja Ram Mohan Roy and will always be, who uplifted people from the society which was degraded just like the Muslim women, this perception needs to be changed for the benefit of the societyâ€, he opined.
Supporting Triple Talaq Bill as Azadi for Muslim women, Anila Singh, said that we believe in          “Vasudhaiv Kumbakam†where everyone is equal and important. She also said that “Participation of people in unrooting evil practices of the society in whatever the religion it might be is importantâ€. “Three year jail term for muslim men will bare the family financially and sociallyâ€, said Muhhamad Azeemuddin while raising issues and debating related to Triple talaq bill.
He welcomed the triple talaq ban but urge government to retrospect on punishment criteria. Ms. Farheen (Activist) thanked the government for this bill during the session and also suggested some improvement in bill while delivering her views during the session.
