K.D.K College of Engineering, Nagpur is celebrating Extravaganza NAVONMESH-2020 during January 26 to January 31, an annual Cultural Meet and Founder’s Day, to commemorate birth anniversary of Founder President, Late Bhausaheb Mulak.
Navonmesh-2020 boasts sports and cultural bonanza for the students and staff to showcase their talent. On the first day of the fest, KDK premier league cricket match was organised in which 20 teams from various colleges participated. The sports events includes volleyball, chess, carom, tug-of-war, etc and the cultural events like dance, skit, singing, debate, personality contest, Rangoli, Mehendi, Selfie contest, poster, quiz, orchestra and many more. In this cultural fest, the dance& singing competition will be held on January 31.
First prize for the winner is Rs 21000/-. Staff and students of different colleges are participating in the various events with enthusiasm.
The inauguration ceremony of ‘NAVONMESH 2020’ was done on January 30 in the presence of Chief Guest C.S. Gundewar ex-controller General Indian Bureau of Mines and Dr M P Ramnavas Executive Director Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd was the guest of honour. Other dignitaries present were D.S Denge Professor D Pharmacy College, Principal Dr Gupta Ayurvedic College, Dr DP Singh Principal KDK College and Dr AM Badar Vice Principal.
On this occasion, DP Singh read the achievement report of the college.
Chief Guest C.S. Gundewar highlighted about the importance of sports and extra circular activity in personality development and stressed on UPSC exam for students.
Dr Ramnavas expressed about utility of all the engineering branches of college in the Nagpur Metro project. And the role of engineers in social ethical leadership development which is essential in academics.
In the inauguration ceremony 5 PhD holders were felicitated and academic merit holders of 7-8th semester were also felicitated.
Various events like Postal competition, Mannequin, Rangoli, T-shirt Design, Selfie competition, Photogenic, Treasure hunt, Singing, Dance, Personality Show, Debate Photogenic Face of College, Student Mock Parliament along with academic merit awards held in the four day event.
Whereas on January 31 Founders day will be celebrated in which Sunil Kedar, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Sports & Youth Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra will be the chief guest . Best student of the year award, merit awards, and prizes of various categories will be distributed on this occasion. On January 31 Sukanya Ghosh Versatile Bollywood Singer will enthral all in the college premises.
Dr. D P Singh, Principal, KDKCE, Dr. A.M. Badar, Vice Principal have inspired & motivated every student to take part in the various activities.
