The people of Hinganghat town came together on Tuesday in support of the 24 year old college teacher who was burnt alive by a man on Monday morning in full public view. A rally was taken out from the main market of Hinganghat in which hundreds of students, teachers, social workers, politicians came together and prayed for the girl’s speedy recovery while demanding justice to the girl.
The bizarre incident which took place on Monday morning where a 24 year old college teacher was set ablaze in public view by a man in Hinganghat town.
An updated status report of Hinganghat burn victim has been issued by the Orange City Hospital & Research Institute on Tuesday morning. At present, her condition is critical. She is presently holding vital parameters with Oxygen supports of 5 litre/ min and critical care monitoring. In view of her very critical condition, prognosis has been repeatedly explained to her accompanying relatives and police personnel, reads the status report.She had Deep Burn injuries over Scalp, face, Right Upper Limb, Left hand, Upper Back, Full Neck, Ocular involvement with Inhalational Injury. On Monday the victim underwent Tracheostomy, Burn dressing, Debridement and escharectomy.
Her Provisional Diagnosis is 35-40% Grade III Deep Dermal Burns with Respiratory Distress with Inhalational Injury with Related Complications.
Sunil Kedar- Guardian Minister, Samir Kunnawar- MLA (Hinganghat) visited the hospital to confirm her progress and expressed satisfaction on the timely comprehensive line of treatment being provided at OCHRI. Vivek Bhimanwar, IAS Collector Wardha and Dr. P.D. Madavi, Civil Surgeon, Wardha are obtaining regular update of her status.
