Sachin Pilot, Deputy Chief Minister, Rajasthan while addressing the gold medal presentation ceremony organised to commemorate the 114th birth anniversary of renowned philanthropist late Manoharbhai Patel remarked that education is a basic need of all, it is a blessing that nobody can take away from you. Expenditure made on education is not expenditure but it is an investment done to build future generation. Huge amount spent infrastructure doesn’t make it a good institution; instead it depends on the emotions and dedication of the staff working and serving there. He further added that the one who comes from humble background understands well the hardships and limitations of others. Education helps in expediting the progress of nation.
He extended best wishes to outstanding students form Gondia and Bhandara districts and paid rich tributes to late Patel. While making introductory speech,Rajya Sabha Member and Patron of GES Praful Patel said that every year they hold function to honour outstanding students from Gondia and Bhandara districts in memory of his late father to motivate others students. He remembers the contribution of late Manoharbhai in bringing education for the people in the region.
The function was organised at the sprawling campus of DBScience College, Gondia under the joint aegis of Manoharbhai Patel Memorial Committee, Shri Gujarati Rashtriya Kelwani Mandal and Manoharbhai Patel Academy. Maharashtra State Assembly Speaker Nana Patole,Ministerfor Home and Guardian Minister of Gondia district Anil Deshmukh , Minister for Tourism and Environment Aditya Thackeray, famous Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, Gondia Education Society’s Chairperson Varsha Patel, Manoharbhai Patel Memorial Committee’s Hariharbhai Patel, MLAs Vinod Agrawal (Gondia), Manohar Chandrikapure (Arjuni Morgaon), Raju Karemore (Tumsar), Sahasram Korote (Amgaon – Deori), MLC Prakash Gajbhiye,¸former Ministers Bandu Sawarbandhe, Bharat Bahekar, Nana Panchbudhe, exMP Dr Khushal Bopche, Madhukar Kukade, Civic Chief Ashok Ingle (Gondia), and Zilla Parishad President Ramesh Dongre (Bhandara) were the prominently present on the dais.
