The vulgarity on women has been a part of our country’s reputation and in recent years it is seen growing day by day. Be it acid attacks, rapes, and molestation, every unknown act has always surprised this nation and even the whole world. The culprit has been identified as Nilesh Ashok Kanhere.
In a recent case, a female doctor who was a part of a campaign on AIDS had been a victim of acid attack. It is believed that the man was mentally retarded who attacked the doctor. The incident occurred in the Saoner on Thursday afternoon.
The female doctor is believed to be on a safe side as she managed to get away, to come in direct contact of acid which was thrown on her. The accused has been held by the local police for further investigations.
This is the second case that has occurred in Vidarbha in a span of two weeks. Earlier this month, a lecturer of Hinganghat was attacked by a so called jilted lover. This man is still in custody as he threw petrol on her and ignited her on the street. The victim had 40 percent burns who then succumbed to death within a week.
