In order to create awareness about the role of microbes in the food Industry Department of Microbiology students organised fermented food fest on February 18 in the college.
In all 23 teams comprising two students per team participated in this event. The food products were judged by Principal Dr. Seema Somalwar Principal Nikalas Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Khamla Nagpur and Mrs. Meghana Pandit Jt. Secretary Nutrition Society India, Nagpur Chapter.
The programme began with the Vice-Principal and head of the department Microbiology Dr. Mrs. Archana Kulkarni welcoming both the judges with a sapling and memento.
The first prize was bagged by Shraddha Paraskar and team Second and third prize went to Ashwini Lakkamwar and team and Sushama Lilhare and team. Both the judges guided students on the occasion.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Himanshi Thakre, President of students’ association.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Kathoke, Dr. Poharkar, Mrs.Vaishali Pimple, Sadia Deshmukh, Dr. Cholkar, Dr. Nasery , Dr. Ubale and other staff members.
The principal of the college Dr.Akhilesh Peshwe congratulated all the Winners and participants of the event.
