The paucity of basic facilities at Mayo hospital is needless to say creating problems for the patients. As per information, for the last one-and-half years, the construction of public toilet is going on near the OPD.However, the point to be noted here is the incomplete work of toilets is generating inconvenience for the patients.
In view of the problems the hospital administration has written letters to civic body for the completion of work. But the work remains unfinished. And hospital administration is saying that it is the sheer irresponsibility of the civic administration which creates hurdles for the completion of toilet construction. It is worth mentioning here is that there is not a single public toilet in the outer campus of Mayo hospital.
After proposal from Mayo hospital administration, public toilets are being built by NMC in the back side of the OPD.As per information, the toilets constructed for disabled patients next to the old main gate of the OPD often closed. And hospital administration is saying that it is the sheer irresponsibility of the civic administration which creates hurdles for the completion of toilet construction.
