G H Raisoni Academy of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur is organizing a National Level Innovation and Design Competition “RACKATHON-2020†(Raisoni Academy Hackathon- 2020) from February 28 to 29 at GHRAET campus at 9:30 am.
Shashikant Choudhary, Co-founder of Nagpur Angel will be the Chief Guest for the inauguration ceremony and Ketan Mohitkar, Secretary, Indian Council for Technical Research & Development, Nagpur, Asif Jamil, Entrepreneur C-Cube, Nagpur will be the guest of honour during the valedictory function. The purpose of this competition is to welcome innovative solutions for regular problems of the society related to all fields of engineering.
The platform will give opportunities to the youth of our country to produce solution to social issues. Motive of this event is to nurture the technical involvement of student while learning theoretical concepts.
The competition has two rounds for participants – Prequalification and Grand Finale. In Prequalification round, participant teams were invited to send the idea or solution for any one of the problem statements along with the details of their team members. Participants shortlisted from pre-qualification stage will be invited to build and present working prototypes of their solutions at Grand Finale.
The submitted ideas have been evaluated on the basis of quality, innovation and utility. Total 50 teams are shortlisted and allowed to participate in round 2 Grand Finale. Selected teams for grand finale will get an opportunity to get a mentor for empowerment while solving problems. The event has received an overwhelming response from orange city as well as from various parts of country.
Grand finale will be commenced from 9:30 am on February 28 followed by the closing ceremony on the second day February 29 at 5:00 pm. Winners will be awarded with cash prizes. Convener of the event Dr. Vivek Kapur, Principal and Director, Prof. Amit Pimpalkar, and Dr. Vijay Gadicha, Co-convener, Prof. Tabassum Khan has appreciated the student’s ideas and appealed to utilize the opportunity to exhibit their innovative ideas into realities.
