Luthade, Choudhary strike blazing tons Guide Shri Rajendra High School to huge victory of 402 runs over Podar World School

Om Luthade and Shree Choudhary each struck a ton to guide Shri Rajendra High School, Nagpur to a huge win over Podar World School by a massive 402 runs in a Boys’ U-14 match of the Mumbai Indians Junior 2020 Cricket Tournament at Mecosabagh here on Wednesday.

Top-order batsmen Luthade and Choudhary took a liking for the Podar World School bowling attack with dominating knocks. Luthade smashed 165 runs off just 99 balls and his team-mate Choudhary hammered 111 of 45 balls to help Shri Rajendra post a huge total of 458/3 in 40 overs.

Podar World School’s batting wilted under the weight of chasing a huge target and they were bowled out for a paltry 56 runs in 15.1 overs.

At the MSCA, Sachin Pal of Sandipani School, Hajaripahad also scored a hundred to power his team to a convincing 209-run win over New Apostolic English High School. Pal scored 103 runs off 104 balls to guide Sandipani School to 341/4 in 40 overs. Dev Nigam chipped in with 68 runs.

Left with a mountain to climb in a chase excess of 300, New Apostolic batsmen hardly put up a fight and ended their innings at 50 in 21.1 overs.

Tejas Kumbhare of Bhavan’s BP Vidyamandir, Civil Lines scored another hundred on the day at the Gurunanak Ground. He scored 115 in 120 balls to star in his team’s 180-run win over Saraswati Vidyalaya High School.

Chetan Meena excelled with the ball on a day dominated by batters. The Bhavan’s BP Vidyamandir, Ashti bowler took a five-wicket haul to bowl out SS International School for just 30 runs and star in a 10-wicket win.

Bhavan’s BP Vidyamandir (Ashti) 32/0 in 4.2 overs (Atharva Kale 17*, Anish Thengre 9*) beat SS International School 30/10 in 8.4 overs, by 10 wickets.

Kurvey’s Ground

Centre Point School (Wardhaman Nagar) 100/1 in 11.4 overs (Sultan Chimthanwala 53*, Vedant Vhawahare 26*) beat MKH Sancheti Public School 98/10 in 22.5 overs, by 9 wickets.

St. Merry Ground

Narayana Vidyalayam (Wardha Road) 121/6 in 26 overs (Kevin Karamchandani 28, Ayush Kumar 18) beat Bhavan’s BP Vidyamandir (Srikrishna Nagar) 119/10 in 28.1 overs, by 4 wickets.
