The District Sports Office (DSO) will organise the annual Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament from July 21 to 28.
The competition will feature matches in the Under-15 sub-junior boys category for players born on or after January 1, 2012, and the Under-17 junior boys and girls categories for players born on or after January 1, 2010.
Matches will be held at the grounds of St Francis de Sales College in Seminary Hills and Nashikrao Tirpude College of Physical Education.
The DSO has directed all participating schools to complete the required registration and participation formalities within the stipulated time. Schools failing to do so will not be permitted to participate in the tournament.
Officials have also clarified that schools affiliated with the CBSE and ICSE boards will not be eligible to compete in the event, as both boards conduct their own separate football tournaments.
