In a bid to increase efficiency and reduce costs, the state government has decided to implement a five-day week for its employees from the month-end. And from February 29, the five day week schedule will be implemented in the state. In view of this, the general department of Nagpur Zilla Parishad issued a GR through which it warned its employees that if they joined/reported on duty late for three consecutive days, then the late marks will be turned into one-day casual leave.
While implementing the 5 days week schedule, the state government has increased the working hours by 45 minutes. As the employees will get two holidays in a week they were asked to maintain the office working hours.
And the employees attendance will be recorded through biometric machine and biometric machine is made compulsory for all departments. The head of the department will be responsible for the attendance. They were asked to take immediate note of the timing of the employees and for taking immediate action against the employees if they failed to join duty in time. It will be compulsory for the head of the department to submit monthly action taken report.
