It has been reported that under compulsory Right to Education Act, a record of more than 26801 applications have been received for the 25 per cent reserved seats for children of underprivileged sections of the society in 680 schools of the Nagpur district.
At present, the online application process is going on. It is believed that more than 28,000 applications can be received under the process. On the other hand the department of education is considering to extend the online application deadline for five more days. A total of 6797 seats have been reserved in these schools.
This number of seats is less than the previous year , 7043 seats were reserved and 23000 children’s online applications were received for these seats. Due to the increase in the number of application, the competition for each seat will be tough. And the online application process has been made very easy due to which parents are applying it very easily.
