Illegal trafficking of kids has been a word around in the country and is taken way lightly than it should be. Nagpur has had cases of underage girls getting smuggled into red light area but a recent case of child pornography being circulated in the city has come in notice of National Centre for Missing and Exploited (NCMEC) in United States America.
Along with 70 concerning videos being developed and spread across hands in the city, in total 25,000 child pornography videos have been uploaded in last few months in India. The case which is being handled by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) is called ‘Tipline Reports’.
According to these reports 1680 cases have been recorded in Maharashtra state alone. According to cyber cell of Maharashtra this circulation is being practiced on a large in urban areas like Mumbai and Pune and many FIRs have also been lodge regarding the same.
In Nagpur city alone 64 cases are being monitored and are under investigation, similarly 6 cases have been registered in rural areas.
The visuals contain images, videos, digital or computer generated images of minors which are being uploaded on social media platforms.
