It seems that the civic body is all set to take strict action against illegal parking at the premises of NMC.The new Municipal Commissioner of the city Tukaram Mundhe known for his discipline had also given directions to maintain the proper parking. For this purpose, NMC has also started levying charges for illegal parking.However; the parking problem remains the same.
As per information, the NMC is taking action against illegal parking under section 399 of NMC Act and charging fine of Rs.100.And  Nuisance Detection Squad(NDS) have been collected Rs.4000 till now. Parking marking was done and sigh boards were also displayed. Despite all the efforts the illegal parking continues in the same condition.
The work of cement road is being done in front of the old building of NMC office. And the road is closed and due to this the gate in front of the Fire Brigade office being used. The vehicle parking is done in places where ‘No Parking’ board is displayed. And the reckless parking is really creating headache for fire brigade vehicles in case of emergency.
