The cyber crimes are increasing in city and recently in another incident a cyber criminal has duped a woman employee of a trader of 40000 under the pre text of purchasing a measuring machine. As per information, Priyanka Parate, a resident of Koradi Road, works in Sakan Tradelinks in Sadar. Her company sells measuring machines.
On February 24, the alleged accused named Aman Kumar contacted the operator of the company and informed him about buying machine. Aman Kumar gave his address near Chitra Talkies. The director of the company asked Aman Kumar to deposit the advance amount. He gave the company’s account number to Aman Kumar. Aman asked trader’s number, stating that he would make payment from Google Pay. The owner gave Priyanka’s Google Pay number to the alleged Aman Kumar. Aman Kumar sent Priyanka a link to transfer 20000. He asked Priyanka to down load the link.
After downloading the link ferred from Priyanka’s Google Pay account. When Priyanka told this to Aman Kumar, he again promised to send one rupee, and after downloading told transferred to Priyanka’s Google Pay account. 20000 were transferred from that link. When Priyanka called Aman Kumar, he did not respond. Priyanka filed a complaint at the Sadar police station. Police has registered a case under fraud and IT Act.
