All the 48 members in the U-18 (Junior) and U-13 (Sub-Junior) teams in both the boys and girls’ section were awarded branded reebok shoes for their excellent performance during the recently held Maharashtra State Basketball Championships organized at seven courts of the city.
In the state meet, the U-18 girls’ team won gold medal while their boys counterparts finished second in the state meet. The U-13 teams in both the boys and girls’ section won silver medal in the state championships.
While felicitating the teams, Joshi congratulated all the players and also wished them luck for future tournaments. On the occasion, senior members of the district body, working president Pranay Ghate, secretary Bhavesk Kuchanwar, Ramesh Bakshi, Arun Dani, Arvind Garud, Mahesh Gaherwar, Dhiraj Kadao, Aytush Agrawal, NMC Sports officer Piyush Ambulkar and others were present. Technical committee chairman of the NDBA Amit Sampat conducted the proceedings.
