The vivacious cricket players of Centre Point School, Amravati Bypass outperformed and won the Karnewar Cricket Trophy in the U-9 group. The final match was played on the 4th of March, 2020 at the Sahas Cricket Club Ground, Chhatrapati Square, Nagpur. The entire tournament was organized and conducted by J.A Karnewar (Founder President). A total of 16 teams participated wherein the matches were conducted in the league cum knock out basis. The unbeaten team comprised of 12 budding cricketers namely Dhruv Mor, Siddhant Akhre, Srujal Raibole, Yug Sanghvi, Maanvendra Trivedi, Shaurya Khanna, Gaurish Kumar, Reyansh Garg, Shaurya Bhargava, Aarav Jaiswal and Kashmeet Singh Bali.
The match was won by 19 runs fantastically. CPS AB had achieved a remarkable score of 112 runs in the allotted 20 overs. The indomitable players Siddhant Akhre, Maanvendra Trivedi and Yug Sanghvi scored 37, 21 and 15 runs respectively. On the bowling side too, dynamic Siddhant Akhre took 3 wickets along with Shaurya Khanna who grabbed 2 wickets. The unbeaten team was mentored efficiently by Kunal Kota and Chetak Khedikar.
