Guardian minister of Nagpur district, Dr. Nitin Raut, made a surprise visit to Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Indira Gandhi Government Medical College & Hospital (IGGMCH) and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Sunday and took review of the arrangements to deal with Coronavirus.
Dr Raut took information from doctors in emergency deptt about isolation ward, availability of medicines, stock of masks, process of destroying used materials, treatment being given to patients etc.So far, examination of 33 patients, including three each from GMC, Mayo Hospital, one from Amravati, 20 from Chhattisgarh and 6 from Madhya Pradesh, has been done in the city so far. Of them, nobody was found with positive test.
At Nagpur airport, Dr Raut took information about screening examination of passengers and tourists from Qatar,Sharjah and Dubai.
