In a recent development in the wake of coronavirus, no passenger train will run from any railway station in the country from today midnight to 10 pm on Sunday in view of the “Janta curfew” announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday.
According to the information, the mail and express trains will also stop its services from 4 am on Sunday. Also, all suburban train services to be reduced to a bare minimum as well.
Taking all the precautionary measures to fight the coronavirus pandemic, the Indian Railways has cancelled 245 trains in order to restrict unnecessary travel due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Modi on Thursday called for a ‘Janta curfew’ from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22, saying no citizen, except in emergency can get out of their houses. It’s India’s fight against the coronavirus, he added.
