As a preventive measure to stop transmission of coronavirus, Maharashtra Chief Minister on Monday announced closing of borders of all states connecting with Maharashtra. Prior to this decision, Chhattisgarh government sealed its border along Gondia district. After this the border witnessed long queues of vehicles.
As per in Large number of vehicles are stopped at Shirpur (Deori) check-post.
Meantime, Maharashtra chief minister also announced sealing Maharashtra border. Vehicles carry essential commodities are only given entry from Shirpur check post.
The Maharashtra connects with Chhattisgarh in Gondia district by National Highway 6. Large numbers of vehicles ply between Mumbai to Kolkata on this highway.
