People have been advised to use hand sanitizers to avoid coronavirus. Taking an advantage of this situation many city based businessmen started selling the sanitizers at a high price. In view of this, the government has fixed the price of 100ml and 200 ml hand sanitizer at 50 rupees and 100 respectively. Higher price than this cannot be taken from the customer. Similar case was seen happening in Poonam Bazar, at Alankar square.
The FDA and the crime branch raided Poonam Bazaar and arrested the manager of the mall for selling hand sanitizers at a high price. A case has been registered against the manager of Poonam Bazar Ashok Krishnarao Jagtap (58) resident of Shastri Nagar, Nandanvan.
Higher price than this cannot be taken from the customer. FDA’s Zone Officer Nivad Lande came to know about the sale of hand sanitizer at a higher price in Poonam Bazar. With the help of crime branch the FDA inspector Monica Dhawan carried out a sting operation. And found that that a simple hand sanitizer of rupees 80 is being sold at a higher price of rupees 140.
