Dr Murlidhar Chandekar, Vice-Chancellor of Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University on Tuesday took the additional charge of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) as the term of RTMNU V-C Dr S P Kane ended on April 7.
Dr Kane in a closed meeting and following the message of social distancing gave the charge to Dr Murlidhar Chandekar.
A meeting of V-Cs of all the universities in Maharashtra was convened by the Chancellor on April 7after which a decision of appointing Dr Chadekar as new acting VC was decided. Immediately after the meeting Dr Kane hand over the charge to Dr Chandekar.
