Amid this lockdown crisis,Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealers Welfare Association(VCMDWA) the leading IT association of the region and Maharashtra and representative of Federation of All India IT Association(FAIITA) have appealed the district administration to include ICT products such as PCs,laptops,printers,consumables,smart phones etc. in the list of essential goods.It has also urged to include IT support, repairs and services as a vital need-oriented service.
As per information, the members of VCMDWA which are leading IT sales and service enterprises of the region, having almost all the authorised service stations of various IT brands are getting a large number of calls from their clients for essential breakdown hardware products and services.
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, a large number of citizens are working from home and are facing difficulties in setting up their hardware and in getting secured and safe connectivity to their main organisation. Even hospitals, banks, police department, railways and other government organisations are experiencing difficulties.
VCMDWA members recently approached deputy collector Bijwal and requested him to allow VCMDWA members to open their shops and service centres for at least 4 hours in a day to make this work from home successful. In view of the grave situation, deputy collector assured them that he will put forward the suggestion to the committee for a positive result.
