At present the entire country is involved in the efforts to eradicate the giant foe named COVID-19.Amid this crisis, many organisations, social groups have extended their helping to fight against the deadly virus. And National Cadet Corps, NCC the largest youth organisation is known for their dedicated, disciplined services who are always ready to serve the country in any difficult situation. In the wake of COVID-19 NCC has launched a Pan India Exercise called NCC Yogdan.
This initiative mainly aims at pooling its resources of senior NCC boys and girls who are eager to volunteer and contribute in fight against COVID-19.Additional Director General, Maharashtra NCC (ADG Mumbai) is responsible to steer the available NCC resources in providing aid to civil authorities in all districts of Maharashtra.
As part of this, Nagpur NCC Group has pooled in NCC volunteers to provide assistance to district administration. Cadets were given the responsibility in maintaining social distancing at various public distribution centres in and around Nagpur. The deployment of NCC Cadets is proving worthwhile. After the positive response Nagpur Group Commander and district officials are working on extending NCC Yogdan to rural areas as well.
