As we know the nation is undergoing through a difficult situation due the outbreak of coronavirus and the government has announced a nationwide lockdown to contain the virus. Due to the lockdown, all the projects of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) which were closed down will resume the work from Monday. Earlier; the NHAI had sought permission to restart the work from the government.
As per information, after the meeting with divisional commissioner, NHAI project director Abhijit Jichkar stated that they got permission to resume the work in the on-going projects on the basis of decided guidelines. As per information, the operations will be resumed on on-going projects of multi-lanes on Kamathi road and Railway Over Bridge(ROB) at Chinchbhuvan.Similarly,work at Pardi road bridge,Uppalwadi Railway Underbridge(RUB) and Outer Ring Road will also be started.
As per the source, the NHAI will do maximum to complete work of Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at Chinchbhuvan, Uppalwadi Railway Underbridge (RUB) because this work was already being done at very slow pace and early monsoon will hamper the project. As per information, the work on new projects like Ajni Inter Modal Station (IMS) and road repair works fromBorkhedi to Hinganghat will be undertaken after the lockdown.
