In this lockdown period of COVID 19 pandemic in order to create the awareness about this infection Department of Microbiology of Dharampeth M.P. Deo memorial Science College took initiative and organised a drawing competetion through online mode on the theme ‘COVID-19 Pandemic : It’s Prevention and Management’ for the college students to know about their views and ideas on this current horrific situation.
In all 20 students participated in this competition and it was difficult for the jury to judge the art forms. The posters were evaluated by Dr Megha Kulkarni, Head department of Microbiology, Chintamani Arts and Science College Pomburna, Gondwana University.
The first prize was bagged by Bhavika Ranpura (Sem 6), Second prize was jointly shared by Monika Marathe (Sem 4), and Shruti Nighot (Sem 6) and third prize went to Priyanka Kolwate and Aditi Vyawahare .
On this event Principal of the college Dr.Akhilesh Peshwe and Vice Principal and head of Microbiology department Dr. Archana Kulkarni congratulated the winners and appreciated their art work.
Staff members of the department Dr. Kathoke, Vaishali Pimple, Dr. Pohekar and Sadia Deshmukh also congratulated the winners.
