Right after a 10 days gap when Jitendra Awhad tested negative of novel corona virus on April 13, the Maharashtra MLA had undergone another test in which he was found positive of COVID-19, on April 23.
The housing minister of Maharashtra has admitted himself in a private hospital of Thane for further check ups.
According to sources, it is being assumed that during a meeting when the MLA came in contact with a police officer who was also later tested positive of corona virus, might have put a threat to his life. Earlier Awhad was in home quarantine with his family members as a staff member of his security force was tested positive.
It is not yet clear, through whom did the MLA got infected but currently all eyes are on the health of Awhad.
