State Government has ordered to deploy state reserve police force (SRPF) troops to safeguard several areas with most movement in the city. Areas including Shanti Nagar, tehsil, lakadganj and Ganesh Peth are to be specially monitored during lockdown along with other parts of the city. All the efforts are being taken to minimum or totally restrict the movement of residents who are still being noticed to wander freely.
According to sources, commandant GR 13 & GR 15 will be deployed around the city in the mentioned above areas.
In case during the lockdown if any further need is felt Rapid Action Force (RAF) or Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will also be put in action, said Anil Deshmukh, Maharashtra Home Minister.
It is being said that GR 13 has been put in charge of zone 4, zone 3 zones 5 in which 94 officials will monitor the situation. Similarly, sensitive areas under zone 3 which are the above-mentioned ones will be handled by GR 15.
