After refused to reopen Nagpur City and discarding the Central Governments order civic body of the city, Nagpur Municipal Corporation has again issued a revised order on what services will be allowed and what will be functional in the city amid lockdown.
Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe who earlier decided to not reopen Nagpur City in a fear of rapid increase in Covid-19 cases has now ordered to give some relaxation in the city.
The major affected zones which have been categorized as red zone includes Satranjipura, Gandhibagh, Aasi Nagar and Mangalwari will not get any kind of relaxation during the lockdown period. While other six zones like Laxmi Nagar, Dharampeth, Dhantoli, Hanuman Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Lakadganj will get some relaxation.
Shops selling non-essential commodities including stationary, government offices will be allowed to resume their business in areas which do not have patients affected with the virus with 10% staff and following the guidelines issued by the health minister and maintaining the social distance within office premises.
Construction work can also be resumed in the city and authorities must follow the norms and guidelines and must provide accommodation to the workers.
While wines shops are allowed to functional in other cities authorities have still said that the sale of liquor will be banned through the district during the lockdown. Permit room, beer shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, pan kiosks were jointly decided to remain shut by District Collector Ravindra Thakre and Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe.
