The Indian Railways is resuming passenger train service from Tuesday, 12 May. The Railways had stopped the functioning of passenger trains on 22 March in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. About eight special trains that would commence journey from May 12 onwards would pass through Nagpur Railway Station on the next day that is Wednesday and later on.
Train No 02691 Bengaluru-New Delhi (Daily) would arrive in Nagpur at 15.35 hrs, 02492 NDLS-SBC (Daily) at 10.40 hrs, 02433 Madras-NDLS (Fri/Sun), 02434 NDLS-MAS (Wed/Fri) at 05.50 hrs, 02441 Bilaspur-New Delhi (Thurs/Sat) at 21.15 hrs, 02442 NDSL-Bilaspur (Tue/Sun) at 06.10 hrs, 02437 Secunderabad-NDLS (Wed) from April 20 onwards at 21.15 hrs, 02438 NDLS-Secunderabad at 05.10 hrs. Though the response to ticket booking on IRCTC site was quite phenomenal, the users had to initially face inconvenience.As per information,these trains will not have sleeper coaches like Rajdhani trains.
