The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday granted permission to various boards for conducting the pending examinations for classes X and XII.
The ministry also decided to relax the lockdown measures to complete the process ensuring social distancing, face masks, etc for safety of the students.Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed in his tweet “Taking into consideration the academic interest of large number of students, it has been decided to grant exemption from the lockdown measures to conduct Board examination for classes 10th & 12th, with few conditions like social distancing, face mask etc, for their safetyâ€.
In the guidelines, the ministry directed the respective boards to make arrangements for thermal screening and hand sanitizers at the examination centers. Besides, the schedule of examination should move unsteadily.
Exam centers which will fall under containment zones will not be allowed, while face masks will be mandatory for students, teachers and other staff members and have to follow all norms released by health ministry.
Moreover, states/UTs may arrange transportation for the students to ferry them to examination centers, it added.
