A major fire broke at Cotton Market today around 4:16 pm which gutted around 15-20 shops as all very closely situated as a result all the shops were affected.
Chief Fire Officer Rajendra Uchake informed that 7 firefighting vehicles were sent on the spot after receiving a call, and by 4:40 pm we controlled the fire. The exact reason is still unknown but an earlier probe suggests that the reason for fire could be a short circuit. As all shops were closed no one was injured
