More than 13 areas of Nagpur have been sealed and declared as containment zones and more hotspots are still on rise. It is mandatory for the municipal corporation of every city to put areas under containment zone and isolate its residents from other parts of the city, if a positive patient of COVID-19 has been found. The period of containment is for 28 days for every area, which when referred to Nagpur city the areas which were put under restrictions are now being evaluated and being removed from the list containment zones.
Recently, the municipal commissioner, Tukaram Mundhe ordered to lift restriction from six reas which were under the containment zones list. The areas includes Lalganj Dalalpura, Panel 21, Satranjipura zone, Gautam Nagar, Panel 10, Mangalwari zone, Rajeev Gandhi Nagar, Panel 3, Asi Nagar zone, Bhaldarpura, panel 19, Gandhibagh zone, Kundanlal Gupta Nagar, panel 5, Satranjipura zone and Shanti Nagar, panel 21, Satranjipura zone.
It is expected that the more areas would be removed from this list in coming days as all of them have almost completed their period of containment which is of 28 days.
