The entire world is under pandemic threat and the authorities are leaving no stone unturned to control the spread of the virus. In a bid to prevent the spread of the virus the Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has set-up ATMA facility at Nagpur Railway Station to ensure contactless entry for train travellers in order to avoid infection of the novel coronavirus.
On entry, a traveller is scanned for body temperature by a person sitting inside the booth who also sees whether the mask is worn or not.
On getting a green signal about the temperature that is within limits, the traveller shows the travel ticket that too is scanned without touch. There is a high definition camera in the booth that checks the ID proof and the ticket is authorised.
After that, the person manning the booth gives go-ahead to the traveller and a LED display exit of the person from the booth is indicated.
The LED screen would also be used for the display of commercial advertisements. A LED screen is also provided for Indian Railway Protection Force (IRPF) jawans to monitor the traveller movement. The ATMA facility is installed by M/s Easy Street. Within48hoursthefacilitywas put in place at the Nagpur Railway Station by Commercial Branch and IRPF.
