The gates of the religious places that have closed for the public since Lockdown 1 were once again opened today following strict guidelines issued by the government in the Unlock 1.0

Yet many cities in Maharashtra chose to shut the gate of theses religious places as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the virus. In Nagpur religious places like Sai Mandir, Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi, St. Francis De Sales Cathedral, Deekshabhoomi all remained closed even after the government gave a nod to open the gates on June 8.
Nagpur has witnessed a surge in the cases in one week taking the tally to 709.
