Flying officer Antara Mehta made Nagpur proud with her dedication towards serving the nation as she became the first women Fighter Pilot from Nagpur and Maharashtra.
Antara is the only women officer from her batch who is selected for the Fighter stream. To date only 10 women have been selected as the Fighter Pilot in the country.
Antara did her engineering from Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM). She appeared in the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam after which she joined the Air Force Training Academy. Antara was a part of passing out parade of Air Force training Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad on Saturday.
Regional Public Relations Officer, Nagpur Region, Directorate of Public Relations in their tweet informed and wished Antara on her achievement “Flying Officer Antara Mehta, daughter of Ravi & Poonam Mehta becomes the first women Fighter Pilot from Nagpur & Maharashtra at Combined Graduation Parade at Air Force Academy on 20June20.
