Masonic Lodge would celebrate Universal Brotherhood Day on June 24.Grand Master of GLI, Rajeev Khandelwal stated that every year on this day in Nagpur, various activities are arranged. This year, due to the pandemic; there are restrictions in conducting the programme. He also appealed that not to organise any programme but do the activities of charity for the people. He will also address the freemasons throughout the country through live webinar on this day.
The Nagpur Lodges have planned some of the charitable activities on this day which includes donations of certain equipment for corona positive patients at Government Medical College, Nagpur, PPE kits for the COVID warriors of Nagpur, tree plantation at the campus of Nagpur University and blood donation camp by freemasons. In June 2004, it was unanimously decided by the Grand Lodges throughout the world to designate June 24 each year as Universal Brotherhood Day. From then onwards, this day every year is being celebrated all over the masonic world, as a mark of proof that brotherhood is beyond all barriers of language, constitution, state or country.
