After the increase in number of COVID-19 patients in the industrial areas in Nagpur district, District Administration decided to conduct the tests in all industries in the industrial areas.As per information, a special drive to monitor the facilities available to contain further spread of novel coronavirus will be undertaken by the Government and the industries not following the precautionary measures will face strict actions. District collector Ravindra Thakre said that Hingana and Butibori Industrial Areas are coming in rural areas. Three workers in Hingana industrial areas were found positive and the testing has been started in the area. The inspection of 900 industries in Hingana and Butibori Industries has been completed and 90 officials and employees are deputed for the inspection.
As per the Government directives including wearing of masks or face cover; sanitization of entrance gate, meeting halls, open place, verandah, walls, machinery, lift, washroom, toilet, place for eating food; facility of thermal scanning, facility to wash hands, sanitisers, maintaining the record of workers on leave or absent from the duties, social distancing, division of food timings, use of staircase instead of lift and banning eating of tobacco and gutkha in working hours etc are mandatory for the industries.
