The First Year Junior College (FYJC) online admission in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Nasik, Aurangabad region will begin from July 15.
The process will be applicable to all recognized Junior Colleges affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board and it is mandatory for all to participate in the online admission process, as all admissions will be done through online process only. This year a change has been made in the admission process as there will be no ‘first come, first served’ (FCFS) rounds for admissions.
Through this FYJC 11th online admission process students will be able to secure admission to FYJC (i.e. class XI) in their preferred stream/subject and junior college of the state.
A special round will be conducted for students who do not get admission in regular rounds.
This year, the government has decided to increase the quota for students with special needs to 4% from 3%, while the quota for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) has been reduced to 12% from 16% in accordance with the state rules.
Commencement of FYJC Part I registration process for filling up the admission will begin from July 15, 2020. Only regular and special rounds to be conducted for admissions based on merit.
No zero rounds for bifocal admissions before the regular rounds. Students interested in bifocal courses can apply in regular rounds. Students will be given online admission booklets instead of printed books.
