Recently the employees of MSEDCL Nagpur circle were sent to Konkan for relief work after the cyclone lashed there in June.As per information,20 employees of the MSEDCL out of 42 tested positive of Covid-19.The electricity distribution system in konkan suffered a huge damage due to cyclonic storm of June 3.Technical employees from all over state were called to repair the damage caused by cyclone.
Nagpur circle and Wardha district sent 42 employees to Konkan on June 14.Among them 12 employees were from Nagpur city,10 from Nagpur rural and 20 employees were from Wardha.After completing their work,thy returned to Nagpur on July 3.And a total of 20 employees tested positive for COVID-19.This included 4 employees from Nagpur city,7 from Nagpur rural and 9 from Wardha.All the positive employees were admitted to hospital rest 22 employees were quarantined.At the same,alertness has been increased in the offices.Outsiders are given entry only through proper screening.Offices are also sanitised.After the employees tested positive MSEDCL has appealed to the people to submit their complaints regarding the inflated electricity bill online.
