South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) under its project Good Morning with Music is presenting Brahmanaad, a series of monthly programmes of music at the quiet morning hours.
Due to coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, the programme will be held on-line on July 12 at 8 am. Pandit Sudhakar Deoley, noted classical vocalist from Ujjain will present classical songs in the programme. The programme will be telecast online live on facebook. Pandit Sudhakar Deoley has learnt the basic music from his mother late Lata Deoley. He is a disciple of Raghunath Wagh from Gwalior Gharana and is specialised in‘Tappa’ form of singing.
Along with singing, Pandit Sudhakar Deoley had mastered the Tabla playing from late Sharad Khargonkar, the President of India awardee and late Narsingh Das Mahant of Banaras Gharana. He also learnt the classical singing from Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, an internationally acclaimed singer. Pandit Deoley had presented his singing in many national and international musical concerts, seminars and conferences. He got a number of awards including ‘Sangeet Shiromani’. Pandit Deoley is an A grade artist of Akashwani and Doordarshan. He was the head of the department of Music and Dance in Bharatiya School in Baharin.
