As we know after the outbreak of COVID-19, the traders are facing various problems.Due to these problems; the traders submitted a memorandum of demands to additional district collector Shrikant Phadke and urged him to provide financial package to grief-stricken traders.
The memorandum would be handed over to the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.The traders in the memorandum said government should give financial aid to the traders in the aftermath of the COVID-19 in the proportion to the returns filed last year.This aid should be transferred into the accounts of traders in PSBs and co-operative banks which would eventually help them to tide over the financial crisis
.Similarly,the power tariff for the last three months should be waived and for the next six months power tariff should be charged at subsidised rates.The traders demanded and also urged the government to roll back hike in power tariff from April 1.Another demand put forward by the traders was that the government give Rs.10000 interest free credit through banks to the traders who are not registered under Self-Fund scheme.It has also become extremely difficult for them to pay school fee of their kids.And they also demanded that the government must issue appropriate orders to pardon the education fee of their wards.
