VIA Marketing Forum organized a webinar on “LinkedIn for B2B Marketing,” keeping in mind the need for digital promotion. LinkedIn being a professional platform it is a must presence for all organizations.
Keynote speaker Sampark Sachdeva, who is LinkedIn Expert, Spotlight 2019 for LinkedIn and is a coach and Mentor for B2B marketing shared the essential details and information needed to be covered to ensure that the profile becomes an ideal one. He also focused on profile pictures, which is the most important part of the profile, it should be visible to your clients or viewers. He stressed your LinkedIn Headline is the most important segment for attracting others along with description and it should not be reflecting or asking for a job. It should tell others how you can help or should give a summary of who you are, etc. which helps others to know you better and networking with others is more faster.
He was informed about methods to build a network at LinkedIn. He shared tips on how to harness this network for generating business. Sampark shared tips and tricks on how to fastrack one’s LinkedIn journey to go on to pitch yourself as a thought leader and an expert in the industry that you represent. He advised the participants that there is a need to align with the current requirement to promote digitally and become socially active.
He advised the participants that using LinkedIn to your advantage by using a pull strategy as well as push strategy. He shared two secrets for winning on this viz. Be Consistent and Be Patient, which helps one to go a long way. He further said how to generate traffic by applying a pull strategy – produce great content, create a company page, engage with others content, etc. Creating and posting content requires to be consistent, picking up your niche, sharing your stories and testimonials, initially tag people who aren’t even connected, creating your own hashtag, etc.
He also shared tips on do’s and don’ts, which helps participants to personalize your invite, reply to all your messages, if possible help people, ask for direction, respect others, stay positive and on the other hand participant should avoid such things like badmouth people/companies, get into arguments or fight, sale immediately after connecting, be negative, copy-paste, etc. All audiences were very delighted by the information shared in this webinar.
