After the hike of COVID-19 positive cases, the civic administration has declared two days Janta Curfew in the city. Because of this, the police administration has geared up for the total implementation of Janta Curfew imposed on July 25 and 26. Over 3000 personnel including cops and home guards have been deployed in the city to maintain order.
As per information, all the entry points of the city have been sealed.No other vehicles except for the emergency ones would be allowed to enter the city. The jawans of the State Reserve Police Force(SRPF) and riot control squad would be patrolling the streets. About 364 officers,2300 officials,343 home guards, and two platoons of SRPF have been stationed in the city. Quick response team(QRT) and a team of SRPF have been kept in reserve. Only emergency services including medical, daily needs shops, grocery stores, dairies, hospitals, and factories will remain operational. Besides this strict action will be taken against those who would be found roaming in the streets without a valid reason.
