The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has in the complete sense wreaked havoc in everybody’s life.And the subsequent lockdown created end number of problems for the hair dressers.In view of this, Maharashtra Nabhik Mahamandal, the representative body of barbers asked for financial package.In a communiqué to the district collector the corporation has said that though they have been given permission to do hair cut recently, largely the salon owners have suffered financial woes.
They also pointed out that owing to worsening financial condition, as many as 12 salon shop owners committed suicide in Chandrapur and other parts of Maharashtra, which has increased the gravity of the problem faced by them.Over and above, though the number of customers has drastically reduced, they cannot cut down on the wages of their workers.Amid this situation, hair dressers should be allowed to do shaving and facial and also must be provided with financial package.
