CM:” Tukaram Mundhe is a disciplined officer, everyone should stand firmly behind him”

The tug of war between the Nagpur civic chief and corporators are now a talk of the town. It has got a new turn when Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has strongly supported Tukaram Mundhe.

Chief Minister on Sunday stated that everyone should stand firmly behind Mundhe.CM stated that Tukaram Mundhe is a disciplined officer. The tussle between him and the NMC administration is known to the entire state.Mundhe has acted in public interest. An officer can act strict for the welfare of public, and there’s nothing wrong in doing so.

Responding to his statement, Mayor Sandip Joshi and Congress MLA Vikas Thakre have remarked that Thackeray should also tell Mundhe to properly behave with the public representatives. Mayor also said that he was happy that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was with Mundhe.”We are also with municipal commissioner, we understand that he is strict and discipline loving.But Mundhe disrespects the public representatives and doesn’t follow rules.”He added that CM should understand that backing an unruly officer on the pretext of he or she being discipline loving is wrong.Instead the CM should tell Mundhe how to properly behave with corporators and other public representatives.
